The “Improving Local Dairy Processing through promoting women” (TCP/MON/3606) technical cooperation project under the SECiM C2, is being implemented in 6 soums of Dornod, Khovd, Khuvsgul and Selenge aimags. Rural women selected for this project as beneficiaries have participated number of trainings from December, 2017 and received “Ger Kitchen” equipment in April, 2018 which enable the beneficiaries to produce 12-15 types of dairy products to local market in accordance with national food standards and requirement. In this regard, "Dashvaanil suun tsatsal" in Bulgan soum of Khovd aimag, "Shansh" in Tarialan soum and "Toson suun tsatsal" in Tosontengel soum of Khuvsgul aimag, "Suun tsatsal" in Khulenbuir soums of Dornod aimag launched their production of “Ger Kitchen” and introduced their milk processing units and their products to local consumers in May, 2018.
In so far, “Dashvaanjil Suun Tsatsal” cooperative received an order of 1.4 million tugrugs for Children’s Day presents from the local government on its opening day. The remaining “Ger kitchen” in two soums, Altanbulag soum of Selenge aimag and Duut soum of Khovd aimag, will be commissioned in June, 2018. By implementing this project, a total of 60 jobs are created in 6 soums of Dornod, Khovd, Khuvsgul and Selenge aimags and income of rural women are increased at local level.
